Alcohol rules

Regulator: NWT Liquor Licensing Board (we confirm the current licensing authority before launching sessions here).

Each province and territory has its own rules for alcohol advertising. We follow the CRTC code everywhere and confirm local rules with the regulator before promoting sessions here.

Communities in the Northwest Territories choose their own alcohol system: unrestricted, restricted quantities or prohibition. Sessions in restricted or prohibited communities are alcohol-free, and we check the current list before scheduling anything. Government source

Some First Nations and Inuit communities across Canada have their own alcohol bylaws. Sessions on or near those lands follow local rules, and are alcohol-free where alcohol is restricted. General information, not legal advice.
