Training in Alberta

Edmonton’s river valley trails and Calgary’s river pathways give most taprooms a run or walk route from the door.

Winter

Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and short river-valley runs with the warm-up indoors.

Summer

Run clubs on long evenings, patio mobility classes and rail-trail rides.

Alcohol rules

Regulator: Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC)

AGLC policy covers websites and social media, and lets breweries or third parties advertise only within its policies and the CRTC code.

Some First Nations and Inuit communities across Canada have their own alcohol bylaws. Sessions on or near those lands follow local rules, and are alcohol-free where alcohol is restricted. General information, not legal advice.
