Venues for group fitness
A good venue needs space, washrooms, somewhere warm to gather, and a reason for people to linger afterwards. Many craft breweries have all four, and their weekday afternoons are empty.
What to check before booking a space
- Floor or route: clear floor for mats, or a safe loop from the door for runs and walks.
- Washrooms and a place to leave bags.
- Somewhere warm: essential for Canadian winters before and after outdoor sessions.
- Timing: a slot that doesn’t clash with the venue’s busy service.
- Age rules: some licensed spaces restrict minors at certain hours; all Brew Fitness sessions are adults only.
Indoor and outdoor formats
Mobility, stretch and strength circuits work indoors on a cleared floor. Run clubs, walking groups and seasonal outings start and finish at the door and use the taproom as the warm-up and gathering space.
